Extension to Mission Road

This is an early drawing of a proposal to extend surface roads through vacant CalTrans property to Mission Rd. in Northeast Los Angeles. It was proposed by the El Sereno 710 Design Advisory Group.  It has recently received federal funding and the city of Los Angeles has applied to the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority for required local matching funds of up to 20% of the cost. This project will relieve the bottleneck at Valley Blvd. and Fremont Ave. by approximately 50 percent.
